European Tour Prospectus

Cal Poly Wind Bands are planning a tour to Europe for July 5-15, 2025. This tour is scheduled for summer to avoid conflicts with the regular academic term and maximize participation of band students from every college. Live music is a gift that is appreciated around the world. It is also the ticket that provides unique access to other nations and cultures.

International travel offers a window to perspectives, ideas, and history that is made real only by being there.

The draft itinerary includes three cities, with performances at each location.

  • Vienna
  • Schladming: MidEurope Music Festival
  • Prague

On behalf of the students and faculty of the Cal Poly Bands, we express our appreciation to the College of Liberal Arts and Cal Poly Instructionally Related Activities program for their support and to the Cal Poly faculty who provided exam accommodations that made it possible for our students to travel!
